Position Summary:
Exercise independent judgement and discretion when performing associated responsibilities that are aligned and directed to the continued success of the department.
Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

- Develop high level, strategic relationships with SterlingRisk’s top carriers and wholesale brokers.
- Responsible for the placement of both new and renewal business across multiple lines with multiple carriers- this includes the negotiation of premium and coverage.
- Reference the SureCOVER checklist when reviewing quotes and binders to prevent E&O’s as well as any possible gaps in coverage.
- Management of wholesale broker relationships.
- Oversee the overall set up of each account they are assigned to in Salesforce.
- Preparation of reports for Director of Placement.
- Provide weekly updates to Director of Placement on outstanding items or issues.
- Adherence, compliance and full utilization of all technology tools (i.e. EPIC, Outlook, Salesforce, etc.)
- Thorough review of submissions received from Account Executives before sending to market. This includes checking the accuracy of the data entered on the Acord, supplemental applications, and loss runs/summary.
- Work with the Associate Placement Specialist(s) during the preparation of new business submissions.
- Attend prospect and renewal strategy meetings.
- Confirm the accuracy of quotes and binders received from carriers and transfer these quotes/binders to the SterlingRisk proposal.
- Update Epic with details and any progress on each account.
- Maintain and update department carrier files, diaries, and contact lists.
- Prepare insurance market presentations.
- Create and review new business and renewal proposals.
- Review binders, policies, endorsements and other related items; verify their accuracy and facilitate corrections when necessary.
- Collaborate with Producers, Placement Specialists, Account Executives and management.
- Authorized to recommend the best options/placement for the client.
- Analyze and compare coverage forms, quotes and binders.
- Design and prepare market presentations for commercial clients.
- Manage and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and binders from the marketplace.
- Monitor renewal and new business dashboard.
- Participate and attend industry events.
- Ensure current market relationships as well as cultivate new relationships in the marketplace.

- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC, Salesforce
- Strong understanding and knowledge of insurance products
- Strong knowledge of insurance markets and their capabilities

Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Property & Casualty License
- CPCU and or CIC preferred

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000 – $155,000 annually, plus benefits, and can vary based on location.
