To determine the Best Workplaces in New York, Fortune partnered with the people analytics firm Great Place to Work® to analyze confidential survey feedback from employees in New York State or the tri-state/New York Metro Statistical Area. Employees responded to survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a Great Place to Work For All™. The rankings are also based on an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders, to ensure they are consistently experienced.

According to FORTUNE, Best Workplaces in New York represents the “ultimate roundup of companies that New Yorkers want to work for” and is considered “the report card on the companies that are winning the game of attracting fresh young talent!” The Great Place to Work® recertification was received after SterlingRisk participated in a comprehensive review process to qualify for the sought-after workplace designation. Since its start in 1992, Great Place to Work has surveyed more than 100 million employees and used those insights to define what makes a great workplace.

SterlingRisk’s Great Place to Work results revealed that 97 percent of surveyed employees view SterlingRisk as a great place to work. Conversely, the US national average is only 57 percent for employees who view their company as a great place to work. The survey also found that 99 percent of SterlingRisk employees agreed with the statement, “When you join the company, you are made to feel welcome.”
