Position Summary:
Exercise discretion and independent judgment while driving new and renewal business. Perform all functions of Producer, including prospecting, sales, service of clients and supporting the internal account team.
Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

- Prospect for new clients, sell additional coverages to existing clients, and retain existing, assigned accounts
- Successfully develop a pipeline, delivering effective sales strategies and a reputation as a client-centric sales professional
- Obtain renewal information from the client
- Collect and submit all necessary information to market new business
- Establish and maintain client relationships
- Develop leads and identify client and prospect needs
- Collaborate with Account Executive on renewals and all annual account needs
- Collaborate with marketing to set renewal strategy meetings
- Follow up with Account Executive and Marketing Representative to ensure renewal quotes and account management needs are delivered in a timely fashion
- Obtain, review and deliver client proposal
- Recommend appropriate coverage, and identify risks, on analysis of prospect’s circumstances
- Bring new business prospects to closure
- Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets/goals
- Sell all products offered by SterlingRisk through cross selling of clients
- Arrange payment terms for all accounts in accordance with agency credit and collections policy
- Participates in seminars and classes for knowledge and skill development, keeping abreast of industry changes and trends
- Maintain necessary licenses and continuing education requirements

- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, EPIC and Salesforce.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of principles and methods of selling products; services and value propositions; sales marketing strategies and tactics; technical knowledge of insurance and risk management products, services, and value propositions; pipeline management; and cross-selling.
- Ability to work well under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Extensive ability to analyze complex insurance situations, recommend solutions, options, and communicate these options in a clear, concise manner.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal, decision-making, strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years related sales experience in the insurance industry, benefit insurance experience a plus
- Property & Casualty License
- Life, Accident & Health License
- Insurance designations preferred
