Woodbury, NY, December 11, 2015 — We are very pleased to announce that Angela DeChiara has joined the SterlingRisk team as Director of Commercial Lines. Angela brings with her twenty-seven years of insurance experience and technical knowledge which extends to various Commercial Property and Casualty product lines. She started her career at a NYC brokerage house writing Ocean Cargo Insurance through a Lloyds lineslip.
Eventually, Angela branched out to Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance at Genatt Associates, where she developed and managed the Risk Management Large Lines unit. Angela returns to Sterling, after three years at BWD Group, where she was the Assistant Manager of the Commercial Lines Services Department.
While at Sterling from 2010-2012, Angela worked in Commercial Lines as an Account Executive and was promoted to Team Leader within a year of hire. She has worked closely with many of our Managers, producers, AE’s and support staff and her understanding of our company structure and vast insurance knowledge will enhance our Commercial Lines team and provide great leadership and support.
Angela received a B.S. in Business Management from Seton Hall University and she holds an AMIM designation. Angela has also taught the Pre-licensing course for the NY State Brokers Exam at Pohs Institute.
